This is one of my current painings, which I think is almost completed. I am letting it set a few days before signing to make sure nothing jumps out at me. The still life was set up at Jennifer Fairbanks Gallery 109 in Murray, KY. I initally did a grisaille under painting using french ultramarine and yellow ochre to make the black, and then mixed with titanium white to get the values. No tubes of black were harmed in the making of this painting! I am working towards using a limited palette with my paintings.
